A new office complex project has reached completion at its project site located at 843 North Spring Street in Chinatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story building offering spaces for office uses
Redcar Ltd is the project developer. Lever Architecture, Shawmut Construction, and James Corner Field Operations form the design team for the project.
The five-story features 122,000 square feet of office space above 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. A 141-car garage is also part of the project. The project reached completion in 2023, and is now available for occupants.
Construction of the office building features cross-laminated timber for its ceilings and floors. Renderings reveal 82,000 square feet of three-ply and five-ply panels make up the building’s ceilings and floors, all supported by a steel frame.
The project site is located on a corner lot, south of College Street’s intersection with Broadway. Employees can use the nearest Chinatown Metro station for easy commute.
