A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 1020 North Ardmore Avenue in East Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story building offering 52 dwelling units at affordable rates. The project calls for the demolition of the existing single-family residences on the site.
Los Angeles-based Luxe Capital is listed as the project applicant. HRD Architecture is designing the project.
The project site is a mid-block parcel currently housing single-family residences. Plans call for the construction of a new four-story building featuring 52 apartments. The apartments will be designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments. No onsite parking has been proposed as a part of the project.
The project will be able to offer affordable housing units through Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. The project also relies on density bonus incentives to allow for a larger building than normally permitted by zoning rules.
The project site is located between the 101 and Santa Monica Boulevard. A project application has been submitted, seeking review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
