A new residential project is under construction taking shape and form at 713 Locust Street in Pasadena. The project proposal includes the construction of 27 new apartments spread in two multi-story buildings.
Malibu Equities, LLC is the project developer. Desai Architects is responsible for the designs.

New plans were showcased during a Pasadena Design Commission meeting, revealing a multifamily residential complex just south of the 210 Freeway. The scope of work includes the construction of a new five-story and six-story structures featuring 27 residential units. The residential units will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 19 vehicles will also be designed on the site.

The residential community will span a built-up area of 26,500 square feet. Onsite amenities include a gym, a community room, and a central courtyard. Facade materials includes board-formed concrete, ceramic glazed tile, wood siding, plaster, and metal paneling.

The presentation reveals contemporary designs with undulating facades, inset and projecting balconies, angled wall planes, and chamfered windows carried across the two buildings.
The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
