A new residential project has been proposed for development at 5550 North Fulcher Avenue in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new seven-story infill development offering 56 apartments.
Minarc is responsible for the designs.
Previously, in 2022, the project site was pitched to build a new six-story building featuring 30 studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. That project proposed to employe Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger building than allowed by zoning rules, reserving four of the new apartments as affordable housing at the extremely low-income level in exchange for the incentives.
A revised plan now incorporates an adjoining parcel at 5550 North Fulcher Avenue, nearly doubling the size of the proposed development. Now, plans call for the construction of a seven-story apartment complex offering 56 apartments above parking for 48 vehicles.
Revised plans also propose six apartments that will be reserved for extremely low-income households.
The project site sits a short walk north of North Hollywood Station’s massive park-and-ride facility. A project application was submitted earlier this month to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
