A new affordable housing project has reached completion at its project site 8333 Airport Boulevard, Westchester. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story building offering apartments and onsite parking.
Non-profit Community Corp. of Santa Monica is the project developer. KFA Architecture is responsible for the designs.
Named The Redtail Crossing, the supportive housing complex has been under construction for the last six months. Once completed, the project will bring 102 residential units into a four-story building. The units will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 78 vehicles will be provided in a subterranean garage.
The supportive housing complex will cater to individuals and households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area’s median income level. Interested applicants may submit an application for the lottery waitlist to be considered for the 60 affordable units.
Renderings reveal an E-shaped floor plans, featuring apartments wrapped around two landscaped courtyards. Onsite amenities include community rooms, a rear yard, and case management offices for on-site service providers.
The project received funding around $60-million. The anticipated completion date is the later half of 2024.
