Steel framing can be seen taking the form to remodel and expand the Westfield Topanga shopping mall in Warner Center at 6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Canoga Park, Los Angeles. The property owner, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, has successfully initiated the process of converting the 160,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Sears into a variety of new uses, including a food hall with sit-down restaurants, bars, and lounges. The project will have new plazas and landscaped areas.
Steel frames and scaffolding can be seen at the southern exterior of the mall, where a new triple-height entrance is proposed to welcome visitors toward Victory Boulevard. Additionally, the developer aims to upgrade the existing pedestrian circulation between the mall and the neighboring Village at Westfield Topanga mall to the south.

The new design enables the mall to offer unique dining, recreation, and entertainment experience for its visitors; a chef-driven food hall is showcasing some of the country’s top food concepts along with cutting-edge sit-down restaurants, sleek lounges, and cocktail bars. Visitors can enjoy the unique interior, and exterior boutiques landscaped indoor and outdoor public spaces and plazas.
The developer has secured funding for more than a $1-billion project which will transform the Westfield Promenade mall into buildings with multi-family housing, office spaces, retail, hotel rooms, and an entertainment complex.
Initially, the project completion date was estimated as mid-2021, however, the completion date is pushed back to June 2022.
