A mixed-use apartment building is under construction at 905-909 South Vermont Avenue in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a building offering residential and retail space, replacing a few commercial buildings on the site.

ECG Real Estate Group is the project developer. 64North is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Named Verwood, the project will bring a seven-story edifice featuring 67 apartments. Commercial space will be designed on the ground floor. A subterranean parking garage will be developed on the site.

The retail-residential complex is being developed following the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines that allow larger buildings than permitted by zoning. In exchange, some units will be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing.

Renderings depict a contemporary podium-type building with cantilevered balconies landscaped with lush greenery. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
