Wood-and-concrete construction is wrapping up for a new residential development at 4658 Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment complex with onsite parking.
Safco Capital is the project developer. The Albert Group Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project will bring 66 residential units to a six-story building. The residences will be offered as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. A semi-subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 66 vehicles will be designed on the site.
Renderings reveal five levels of wood-frame construction stacked above a concrete podium. Architectural plans show that the stucco-clad structure will include a rooftop amenity deck.
Project entitlements include Transit-Oriented Communities development incentives that allow reduced building setbacks and onsite open space. Safco will set aside six of the apartments as affordable housing in exchange for the incentives.
The property site is located at the southwest corner of Melrose Avenue and Ardmore Avenue. The new apartments are all set to debut in mid-2022.
