A new senior housing project has been proposed at 1041-1049 North Martel Avenue in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of apartments for seniors, replacing three single-family dwellings on the site.
San Rafael-based EAH is the project developer. KFA Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
The project proposes to redevelop the site housing three single-family homes into senior affordable housing. The residential building will include 50 units offered as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom dwellings. Parking for 19 vehicles will be provided at the street level.
Renderings showcase a contemporary design, featuring a facade with a front porch. Onsite amenities are inclusive of a community room and a multipurpose space. The building footprint takes a U-shaped form sitting above a podium-level landscaped courtyard.
The application and submitted plans are under review with possible future changes to the exterior finish, stormwater management, rooftop solar panels. An estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
The property site is located south of Santa Monica Boulevard.
