New renderings have been revealed for an apartment complex proposed for development at 5600 west Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story residential building offering apartments. The multifamily residential development will replace an automobile repair shop on the site.
Beverly Hills investor Ilan Gorodezki is listed as the project developer. Kamran Tabrizi Architect & Associates is responsible for the designs.
The proposed project was submitted to the City of Los Angeles for review in November 2020. Now, new renderings have been released for the four-story apartment complex. Plans call for the construction 41 apartment units, designed as a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments. The building will also feature parking for 41 vehicles on the site.
Requested entitlements for the project include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, granting waivers from certain zoning rules due to the site’s location near high-frequency transit corridors. In exchange, five of the proposed apartments would be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.
Renderings reveal an exterior designed in smooth stucco and brick. The project site is located one block north of Hollywood/Western Station. Construction is expected to occur over a 20-month period, concluding in 2025.
