A new multi-family residential project has been proposed for development at 12747 Mitchell Avenue in Mar Vista, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story apartment building. The project calls for the demolition of a two residential buildings on the site.
Mitchell Partners, LLC is the project applicant. Breakform Design is responsible for the designs.
The project site is a parcel that spans an area of 7,100 square feet. The scope of work includes the development of a multifamily residential complex offering 19 units. The residences will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. Parking for 19 vehicles will also be provided on the site.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure capped with a rooftop deck. The building height will rise to 66 feet, with a facade expressed in smooth stucco and corrugated metal panels. The project site is situated between Venice Boulevard and Washington Boulevard in Mar Vista.
The developer is seeking entitlements for the project, including density bonus incentives to permit a larger building with slightly less parking than required by zoning rules. In exchange, four of the new apartments would be set aside for rent by very low-income households. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
