The “Lumina” in Hollywood is starting to fill up with residents at 5929 West Sunset Boulevard. The project has changed ownership several times, but CIM Group recently developed, although they had to make updates to replicate the historic street front with retail space.

The building is 22 stories high. It is 240 feet tall, 189.33 feet long, and 100.17 feet wide. It has 32,3062 square feet of floor and 13,740 square feet of landscape. Two floors contain office space, and one level has a mezzanine. 299 residential units are on the upper floors, 45 of which are low-income housing. A six-level parking structure, with four underground and a park, is adjacent to the residential/commercial tower.

Many amenities are available to the residents, including a 24-Hour fitness center, resident lounge, grilling stations, fire pit, media room, sundeck lounge, heated wading pool, bocce ball court, and a 24 -hour lobby desk attendant.

The site was originally referred to as the Sunset & Gordon project. Recent designs are by GBD Architects, headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The highrise currently has availability for studio, one, and two-bedroom units. The commercial space on the ground floor facing Hollywood boulevard is still vacant.
