Pre-leasing has begun at 227 N First Street, in Burbank, according to signage posted on the building. The project, entitled “First Street Village,” is the beginning of the development of the site, which will contain three separate buildings that are rolling out in phases. Del Rey Properties is the developer, with Chandler Partners serving as the project’s general contractor.
107 South Hewitt Street, between the Arts District and Little Tokyo, is nearly complete. The project is a collaboration between Boulevard Partners and Bridge Investment Group. The site is a couple of blocks away from LA Union Station, the hub for connections throughout the county. A website, recently launched for the complex, states that the site will be, “Welcoming you home soon,” and offers a simulation of the one site views of Downtown Los Angeles from the upper floors.
Rebar is rising at 777 North Front Street, in Burbank. The project, by LaTerra, makes use of a long, narrow, irregular shaped lot between the Five freeway and Burbank Downtown Station. The project will largely be dedicated to new housing.
Los Angeles Metro Rail has announced the opening of the highly anticipated K Line. The route adds seven new stops, and will eventually connect Metro Line E, which travels between Downtown and Santa Monica, to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The light rail line currently serves the communities of West Adams, Jefferson Park, Baldwin Hills, Leimert Park, Hyde Park, Inglewood, and Westchester. The official metro website states that “The K Line was designed and built with the help of community input and local voices to provide a faster, more convenient and reliable way to connect to jobs, schools and the rich cultural places throughout these communities.”
Exterior finishing is nearly complete at 960 West 7th Street, in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles. The project, by Brookfield Properties, will be one of the tallest residential towers in the city. An interest list has opened, with rentals starting in January of 2023.
