Exterior finishing has started at 5550 West Pico Boulevard in Mid-Wilshire. When completed, it will bring denser housing, and some low income housing to the area. Wiseman Residential is the developer behind the project.
The building will be seven stories tall, with 31,200 square feet of floor. The dimensions will be 79 feet tall, 67 feet wide, and 118 feet long. Inside the upper floors, there will be 44 apartments, four of which will fall under the extremely low income tier.
The ground floor will have commercial retail space. Below grade, there will be 2 levels of parking garage. Inside there will be 2 compact, 4 disabled, and 22 standard parking spaces. The site will also offer 40 long term and 7 short term bicycle parking spaces. As part of the Transit Oriented Communities program, the location is close to a couple of bus stops, the closest of which is on the corner across the street from the property.
Reed Architectural Group is behind the design. The site will offer a total of 1,800 square feet of landscape. $4.8 million was the permit valuation at time of filing.
