2812 West Temple Street is taking shape in Echo Park. The project, by Schon Tepler Group, will bring denser housing and some commercial real estate to the area. The site previously had a fourplex.

The building will be 73 feet tall, 134 feet long, and 79 feet wide. It will be 5 stories tall, with 28,800 square feet of floor. There will be 42 units inside. Four apartments will fall under the extremely low income tier. Renderings depict balconies on many of the units, as well as a podium deck.

There will be parking at grade level and in the single basement level. Inside there will be 6 compact, 3 disabled, and 33 standard parking spaces. 38 long term and 6 short term bicycle parking spaces will also be on site. The closest bus stop is a few steps away at the corner of West Temple Street and North Occidental Boulevard.

The design is a concrete deck with wood construction. 1,400 square feet of landscape were included in the plans. The project received a 12 unit density bonus, for being a Transit Oriented Communities Tier 1 design. $6 million was the permit valuation at time of filing.
