Apartment Tower Rises At 696 South New Hampshire Avenue In Koreatown, Los Angeles

Concrete is rising at an apartment tower proposed at 696 South New Hampshire Avenue in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a 38 story residential project replacing an adjoining parking lot with a smaller apartment building at the intersection of 7th Street and New Hampshire.

Holland Partner Group is the project developer. MVE + Partners is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

The project will bring a new apartment tower offering 375 residential units. The proposal also includes a 160-room hotel. The residential tower will sit atop an eight-story parking garage. Landscaped amenity decks will be developed at the roof level of the parking podium and the residential building.

Plans reveal a contemporary-style building designed in glass and steel. The tower was originally approved as part of a larger mixed-use project by Harridge Development Group.

Construction started seven months ago, and the estimated completion date has not been announced yet. The property site is located one block southwest of Wilshire/Vermont Station.
