Plans to construct a high-rise apartment tower at 1123-1161 South Main Street in downtown Los Angeles have been revealed. The project proposal includes the development of a 30-story mixed-use development, replacing a series of retail buildings on the site.
Local real estate firm Jade Enterprises is the project developer. MVE + Partners is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project will bring a new 30-story high-rise structure featuring 363 apartments. The apartments will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. A four-story podium will be constructed at the ground level, featuring 12,500 square feet of retail space. A parking facility with a capacity of 373 cars will be designed on the site.

Renderings reveal a contemporary high-rise building designed in glass and steel. The proposed façade will rise to a height of 340 feet. The tower will be placed toward the middle of the site– with setbacks and amenity decks on either side– to reduce the total building mass and provide better solar orientation for a pool courtyard. Other onsite amenities include a rooftop deck featuring a second pool, as well as indoor lounge rooms.
The tower is designed to coordinate with an eight-story apartment complex that Jade is slated to build on the opposite side of Main Street. Both will include mid-block setbacks to create street-level plazas connected with a crosswalk.

The apartment tower will be located at 12th Street and Main Street. Construction is expected to occur over a roughly 30-month period, which could conclude as early as 2026.
