New York-based venture capital firm Greycroft Partners is planning on getting a new home in Downtown’s Arts District located at 821 Traction Avenue in Los Angeles. Greycroft has been located out of the neighborhood since 2015. The venture capital firm has signed nearly a 20,000 square feet lease.
CBRE recently announced that Greycroft has signed a 10-year, 19,518-square-footage-foot lease at FreeMarket. FreeMarket is an office campus now under construction at 821 Traction Avenue. The lease accounts for nearly half of the available space at the 40,000-square-foot property and will include offices on the ground and second floors along with outdoor spaces.
Construction of FreeMarket is on pace to conclude in March 2022, at which point Greycroft is scheduled to move in.
The venture capital firm’s current Los Angeles address is an industrial building located half-mile south near the intersection of 6th and Mateo Streets.
Los Angeles’ buzzing neighborhood, Arts District has been a recent attraction for major brands like Spotify and Warner Music Group, which have already reserved their spots in large buildings nearby, and other tenants such as Califia Farms, Twitch, and Kanye West’s Yeezy Gap clothing line have moved in since the onset of the global pandemic.
