A new mixed-use apartment building is under construction at 826 North Azusa Avenue in Azusa, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a building offering spaces for residential and retail uses.
Serrano Development Group is the project developer. AO is designing the podium-type apartment complex, while Pacific Empire Builders is serving as general contractor.

Named The Lumia Apartments, the project just got a $47-million loan and recently broke ground. The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 1.2 acres. Plans call for the construction of 127 residential units offered at market rates. The building will also offer retail space on the ground floor, spanning an area of 9,500 sqaure feet. Parking will be provided on two levels of subterranean parking.
The construction loan was provided by Buchanan Mortgage Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of Buchanan Street Partners, L.P., in its third deal with Serrano.
The project site sits next to Azusa Metro stop, next to L Line. The estimated market availability of the apartments has not been announced yet.
