“The Kurve on Wilshire” has opened at 2801 West Sunset Place, in Koreatown. The long anticipated project reaches 23 stories high, stories above most of the surrounding structures. Hankey Capital and Jamison Services, Inc. are the developers of the project, which utilizes a curved surface to break up the large massing of the design.

The layout is made of a seven story, wrap building, containing ground commercial retail and residential units above. The overall dimensions are 264 feet tall, 429 feet long, and 290 feet wide. It has 1,140,400 square feet of floor space, 15,550 of which is retail.

Inside there are 644 studio, one bedroom, two bedroom and penthouse units ranging from 600 to 4,000 square feet of floorspace. According to the leasing website, interiors “Feature clean lines, natural materials, neutral palettes and light-filled living spaces.” Residents are able to enjoy the benefits of the Alfred app, including cleaning, home delivery, and bike repair coordination and free basic tune-up.

Large Architecture is behind the highrise design. The unique exterior is made of amber glass and three kinds of spandrel panels. The standout amenity is the one acre rooftop park and pool area, with a spa and private cabanas.
