A new affordable housing development is taking shape just west of MacArthur Park in Los Angeles’s Westlake neighborhood. The project, located at 668 South Coronado Street, replaces a small surface lot with a seven-story mixed-use building that will feature 122 residential units, 831 square feet of commercial space, and parking for 14 vehicles.
A Planning Commission hearing catapults a proposed project back into progress at 3600 Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of two 23-story buildings offering spaces for commercial and residential uses. The site is currently developed with a 22-story commercial office building and a two-story parking structure. Jamison Properties is the project developer. Perkins + Will is responsible for the designs.
Levels are rising at 200-250 North Vermont Avenue, in Koreatown. The project, a partnership between Hankey Investment Company and Jamison Properties, will be mixed use, bringing more residential to what is largely a commercial stretch. The project is expected to wrap up between 2022 and 2023.
2847 West Leeward Avenue is taking shape in Westlake. The project is one of Jameson Properties ever expanding portfolio, only a short distance from the majority of their projects, in Koreatown. When completed the site will provide 46 market-rate units to the rapidly growing area. Some units will have views of the recently completed “Kurve,” a couple blocks away.
“The Kurve on Wilshire” has opened at 2801 West Sunset Place, in Koreatown. The long anticipated project reaches 23 stories high, stories above most of the surrounding structures. Hankey Capital and Jamison Services, Inc. are the developers of the project, which utilizes a curved surface to break up the large massing of the design.
