Stories are rising at 2847 West Leeward Avenue, in Westlake. The project, by Jameson Properties, is barely an expansion out of Koreatown, where many of their developments have been. The site will bring denser housing to the area.
When completed, the building will be six stories tall, with 55,600 square feet of floor. The dimensions will be 75 feet tall, 127 feet long, and 102 feet wide. 46 market-rate units will be inside. Residents will be able to enjoy 360-degree views from the rooftop deck. There will be 4,200 square feet of landscape overall.
There will be 2 levels of the subterranean parking garage. 28 compact, 2 disabled, and 61 standard parking stalls, and 46 long-term and 5 short-term bicycle parking spaces will be inside. The 7th/Magnolia bus stop is a short walk away, connecting the area to public transportation.
Lahmon Architects are behind the design. It was, “Loosely Inspired by traditional Korean art and culture and uses light and dark materials to create the illusion of depth on a nearly flat façade as the result of a dense floor plate.” $10.5 million was the permit valuation at the time of filing.
