“Nova” has opened In Koreatown. Jamison Properties developed the project at 3980 West Wilshire Boulevard. It will bring denser housing and retail to the 1.05-acre lot. The building is seven stories high, with a mezzanine on one level.
The dimensions of the structure are 89 feet tall, 288 feet long, and 155 feet wide. It has 217,712 square feet of floor. There are 228 housing units inside, ranging from studios to two bedrooms with a loft, and priced from $2,150 to $3,925. The units range from 491 to 1,318 square feet. There are 16,327 square feet of commercial space on the ground level.
Three basement levels house 85 compact, eight disabled, 245 standard parking stalls, and 252 long-term and 32 short-term bicycle parking spaces. Indoor amenities include a lobby/lounge, coworking space with conference room and private office, parcel lockers, and a fitness center. The rooftop has a recreation room with a pool table, lounge seating, and hosting kitchen, and a deck with a barbecue, fire pits, lounge seating, and expansive views.
KTGY is the architecture firm behind the podium-style building built with a concrete deck and wood framing. A central courtyard breaks up the design with a pool and spa. $41.8 million was the initial permit valuation. The site opened at the end of last year, applications for residents are currently being accepted.
