A new residential project is under construction at 11600 National Boulevard in Mar Vista. The project proposal includes the development of a multifamily residential building replacing a single-family home on the site.
General contractor Harpo Construction is the project developer. Aaron Brumer & Associates is designing the project.
Site prep has begun at the project site for the construction of a four-story building offering 15 apartments. The apartments will be developed as one-bedroom units. The building will also feature a single level of at-grade parking.
Plans call for two very low-income affordable units, permitting a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules in accordance with the city’s state density bonus ordinance.
Renderings reveal a facade clad in vertically-oriented, dark grey corrugated metal panels, accented with light-colored stucco and recessed balconies.
Construction is expected to occur over roughly 16 months, placing the project’s expected completion date in late 2023.
The project site is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of National Boulevard and Federal Boulevard.
