A new residential project has been proposed at 3340 Los Coyotes Diagonal in Long Beach. The project proposal includes the development of a senior housing complex that will replace a surface parking lot on the site.
Virginia-based Sunrise Senior Living is the project developer. HPI Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
Named Sunrise Long Beach, the project will bring a two-story living facility offering 86 senior housing units. The residential units will be offered as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom spaces. 50 units will be allocated for the assisted living portion of the project, with the remaining 36 units allocated toward memory care. A total of 109 beds are planned.
Renderings reveal a facade designed in Spanish Revival style aesthetic with an exterior highlighted by smooth stucco and tile roof. Plans also call for wood and iron accents. Onsite amenities are inclusive of a garden and two private courtyards.
The project site is situated just south of Wardlow. The project is expected to employ the equivalent of 100 full-time staff, with a maximum of 30 employees on-site at any given time. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
