A new apartment complex is rising at 815 South Kingsley Drive in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story multifamily residential complex. The project site is located just south of 8th Street in Koreatown.
Jamison Services Inc. is the project developer. DFH Architects is designing the complex.
Named Kara Apartments, the six-story building will offer 114 residential units. A two-level, 162-car basement parking garage will be constructed underneath the apartments. Jamison is required to set aside 12 apartments as deed-restricted affordable housing for extremely low-income households, making the project eligible for Transit Oriented Communities development incentives.
Renderings reveal a boxy low-rise structure clad in gray stucco and orange and white metal panels. Open space amenities including a rooftop amenity deck, a podium-level courtyard, and several interior common rooms.
The project designs are coherent with the aesthetics of the neighboring apartments. The estimated construction timeline and market availability has not been announced yet.
