Wood Framing Rising At 355 North Glendale Boulevard In Echo Park, Los Angeles

A new residential project is under construction and rising at its site at 355 North Glendale Boulevard in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a seven-story multifamily residential development offering spaces for residences and parking. The project replaced a collection of small commercial buildings on the site.

Chicago Los Angeles-based The Bond Companies is the project developer. HED is designing the apartment complex.

Named Inspire Echo Park, the project has been making constructional progress for one year. The project site is a parcel spanning an area of one acre. Once completed, the seven-story building will offer 90 apartments and parking for 82 vehicles on the site. The residences will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom apartments. Project entitlements include Transit-Oriented Communities incentives, which permit a larger building than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, the Bond Companies will be required to set aside 10 apartments for rent as affordable housing at the very low-income level

Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type structure. Other than housing, the building will also feature open space amenities such as a lounge, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a rooftop deck. The project site is located just south of the US-101 freeway. The Inspire Echo Park site sits one block south of Temple Street.
