Construction Work Begins for Offices at 1640 14th Street In Santa Monica

A new office complex is under construction, taking shape and form at 1640 14th Street in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the construction of a new three-story building offering spaces for office, retail, and parking uses. The project replaced a brick building and a parking lot on the site.

Redcar Properties is the project developer. HGA is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the development of a new three-story building featuring 36,500 square feet of office space. The offices will be designed above ground-floor retail space spanning an area of 2,500 square feet. A basement parking will be developed within the building with a capacity of 61 vehicles.

Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure, with a facade expressed in glass and aluminum. The building flaunts a C-shaped footprint above its first floor, wrapped around a central courtyard. Additional open space is proposed at the rooftop.

Upon completion, the new offices will be located across the street from Memorial Park in Santa Monica. The project is anticipated to reach completion in late to mid-2024.
