A large-scale residential complex is under construction at 2900 San Fernando Road in Glassell Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of an apartment complex offering 300+ units, onsite parking, and amenities.

Fairfield Residential Development is the project developer. AO is responsible for the designs.

Named Wylden Apartments, the project started site prep work last year, following the demolition of a warehouse on the site. Upon completion, the project will result in a five-story wood-frame structure offering 370 residential units. The units will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans.

The apartments will be designed around a central parking garage with space for 600 vehicles. Onsite amenities include courtyards, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck.

In exchange for density bonus incentives, the developer is required to set aside 31 of the apartments as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level.

Construction is expected to happen within 20 months period with a late 2024 completion date. The project site sits east of the Los Angeles River, south of the Glendale Freeway.
