A new residential project has neared completion at 1503 South Barrington Avenue in Sawtelle, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story building offering co-living apartments.
Vancouver-based firm Rize Alliance is the project developer. Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects (LOHA) is responsible for the designs.
The project is rising on a corner lot that previously housed a single-family residence and a triplex. Now, vertical construction is rising for a new four-story structure featuring 18 apartments. The apartments are designed as a mix of four-bedroom and five-bedroom floor plans. The four-story will also feature outdoor patios and an indoor clubhouse.
The apartment building features open stairwells wrapping around an open-air central courtyard. The facade of the building is expressed in a dark exterior.
The project may be utilized as student housing. The project site is located north of the intersection of Barrington and Santa Monica Boulevard.
