A new senior housing project has been proposed for development at 14715 West Burbank Boulevard in Van Nuys, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering residential space for seniors at affordable rates. The project calls for the demolition of existing residences on the site, built in the 1940s.

Burbank Villa Apartments LLC is the project applicant. GA Engineering is responsible for the designs.

The project will provide affordable housing through the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. The scope of work includes the demolition of the existing 10 apartments on the site, to make way for a six-story building offering 91 dwelling units for seniors.

The project will offer apartments for rent for moderate-income, low-income, and very low-income households. It is eligible for density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than normally allowed by zoning rules.

Renderings reveal a modern contemporary design with a facade expressed in stucco.

A project application was submitted to the Los Angeles Planning Commission. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
