A new senior housing project is under construction taking shape and form at 5500 Canoga Avenue in Warner Center, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering 600+ units for senior housing.
Spieker Senior Development Partners is the project developer. KTGY is responsible for the designs. W.E. O’Neil Construction is the general contractor.
The project has been under construction for the last year; upon completion the project will bring 647 senior homes into a six-story building. The project site is a large parcel spanning an area of 17 acres. Named Wisteria at Warner Center, the six-story will feature 486 independent-living units, 65 assisted living units, 20 memory-care units and 76 skilled nursing beds. Plans also call for open spaces reserved for use by residents such as a swimming pool, a fitness center, a library, a movie theater, and a performing arts center.
The senior housing complex will also offer an on-site healthcare center along with community amenities like ground-floor retail space and dining areas.
The project site is located at the intersection of Canoga Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard. The project is anticipated to reach completion in 2025.
