A new senior housing complex celebrated ground breaking ceremony at its project site at 1800 East La Vita Avenue in Orange. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story senior housing complex offering 166 units.
USA Properties Fund is the project developer. Safehold Inc is responsible for the designs.
Construction work has began for a senior affordable housing complex in the City of Orange. Named The Orion, the scope of work includes the development of 166 apartments catering to low-income renters aged 55 and up. The housing will offer options including eight permanent supportive housing units.
Renderings reveal a modern look for the four-story facade expressed in orange, white, and grey. Onsite amenities include a clubroom, a fitness area, a dog park and a senior services center for residents.
The site is located near shopping centers, medical offices, regional parks, and in proximity to Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and Disneyland, according to a news release.
Completion of The Orion is expected in 2026.
