A new affordable housing project has almost reached completion at 800 West Carson Street in West Carson. The project proposal includes the construction of a new seven-story housing complex offering affordable housing options.
Meta Housing Corp. is the project developer. Y&M Architects is responsible for the designs. Milender White is the general contractor.

Construction work can be seen at its peak for a new seven-story building offering 230 housing units at affordable rates. The housing units are being designed as a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom floor plans. A two-level subterranean parking garage will also be developed as a part of the project.
All apartments will be available for renting for locals that have an income between 30 and 70 percent of the area’s median income.
Renderings reveal a modern building design with a podium. The facade will feature a white, black, and grey elevation to its east and a red, white, and grey elevation to its west. Onsite amenities a community center and multiple courtyards.

The project broke ground last year. The project construction cost is estimated at $112 million. The project site is located toward east of the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. The project is expected to have an inauguration date in 2026.
