A new residential project has made its debut at 671 MacArthur Avenue in West Los Angeles. The project proposal included the development of 74 apartments for veterans. Recently, a new apartment complex for unhoused veterans was inaugurated at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center campus.
The Core Companies is the project developer.
The finished project features a three-story structure that has a capacity of 74 units in the form of permanent supportive housing. On-site amenities include a community garden, a gym, walking paths, a dog park, and a business center. Supportive services will be provided by the VA and New Directions for Veterans.
The developer competed the project through a long-term ground lease. As of now, 307 homes for veterans have been built on the campus, with seven additional buildings featuring 461 units currently under construction.
