A new residential community has been proposed for development at 3756 West Santa Rosalia Drive in Baldwin Hills. The project proposal includes the development of a new five-story apartment building offering 270 apartments. The project will replace a surface parking lot on the site.
Farzad Amid of Crenshaw Medical Group, LP is listed as the project developer. Metropolis Architecture is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the redevelopment of the project site with affordable housing in the shape of a new five-story structure containing 270 studios and one-bedroom floor plans. No on-site parking has been proposed as of now.
The proposed development would make use of the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. A project application was recently submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning, pending review and approval.
The affordable housing complex will cater to low-income and moderate-income renters, the building would be eligible for density bonus incentives permitting waivers from certain zoning rules.
The project would rise adjacent to a medical office building near Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. The project site is a U-shaped parcel, sitting across the street from the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza mall.
