A new affordable housing project is under review to be developed at 1217 14th Street in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story affordable housing complex offering 82 dwelling units. The project will replace a commercial building and its surface parking lot on the site.

Hollywood Community Housing Corp is the project developer. Kevin Daly Architects is responsible for the designs.

Plans call for the construction of a six-story building offering 82 apartments. Additionally, a subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 42 vehicles will be added to the complex.

Renderings reveal a modern look for the low-rise structure. Onsite amenities will include community rooms, laundry facilities, and rooftop terraces. Facade materials include wooden louver screenings, corrugated panels, and tonal red color palette.

The proposed housing community will rise on a site located at the intersection of 14th Street and Wilshire Boulevard.
