A new mixed-use project has been proposed for development at 1437 6th Street in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the construction of a new mixed-use high rise building offering spaces for retail and residential uses.

The scope of work includes the construction of an 18-story high rise mixed-use tower offering 173 residential units. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. Additionally, a two-level, 55-car subterranean parking garage will also be designed within the tower.

In exchange for state density bonus incentives granting leeway for certain zoning standards, the proposed mixed-use will include 26 units of deed-restricted affordable housing.

The mixed-use tower will rise to a height of 195 feet. New renderings have been submitted to the Santa Monica Architectural Review Board. The project site is located mid-block toward the east side of 6th Street between Santa Monica Boulevard and Broadway. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
