New project plans have been released supporting the construction of a new mixed-use project proposed at 19335 Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building offering spaces for residential and commercial uses.
Nasser Matloob of Tarzana Collection LLC is the project applicant. Kevin Tsai Architecture is responsible for the designs.
The scope of work includes the construction of a new six-story offering 46 dwelling units. The units will be designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom floor plans. The mixed-use will also have commercial space spanning an area of 2,688 square feet on the ground floor. Additionally, parking for 38 vehicles will also be provided on the site.
Requested entitlements include density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than normally allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, six of the new apartments would be set aside for rent as very low-income affordable housing.
Renderings reveal a contemporary podium-type building with multiple amenity decks.
The project site is currently being used as a surface parking. The project site is located near the US-101 freeway in Tarzana. The project proposal has been revived from its 2023 version. A new project application has been submitted to the Los Angeles Planning Commission. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
