A new affordable housing community is moving forward at 1637 Stanford Street in Santa Monica. The six-story development, backed by Community Corp. of Santa Monica, is set to deliver 71 income-restricted apartments just south of Colorado Avenue. Community Corp., a long-standing nonprofit builder of affordable housing, is spearheading the project. Architecture is being led by Kevin Tsai Architecture, which has prepared updated plans for the nearly 67,000-square-foot building.
