A new office development is moving forward along the Sunset Strip at 9176 Sunset Boulevard, where plans call for a contemporary mid-rise structure designed with stepped terraces and prominent digital signage facing the boulevard. Gensler is responsible for the project design.
The proposal envisions a five-story building containing approximately 52,999 square feet of office space, positioned above ground-floor commercial uses and supported by a parking garage accommodating 86 vehicles.
The project site currently contains a former automobile dealership property that would be cleared to make way for the new development. Located along one of West Hollywood’s most visible commercial corridors, the building is intended to introduce modern office space while maintaining a lower scale toward the residential neighborhood located south of Sunset Boulevard.
Plans call for a terraced massing strategy that steps back at upper levels, creating outdoor decks for office tenants while reducing the perceived height of the structure along nearby residential edges.
City planning documents indicate that the development remains under environmental review, with the City of West Hollywood recirculating an Environmental Impact Report for the proposal as part of the entitlement process.
The project is being pursued by Faring, a West Hollywood-based development firm that has worked on multiple projects across the city and the broader Los Angeles region.
