A new mixed-use project has been proposed for development at 8500 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story complex offering spaces for residential and retail uses.
8500 WH, LLC is listed as the project applicant. Tighe Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The project was given approvals in 2023 and now the site is under preparation to soon house a new mixed-use complex. The scope of work includes the development of a new six-story building offering 30 apartments and ground-floor retail. The apartments will be designed as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans above 3,800 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

Parking for 33 vehicles will be located within two subterranean levels beneath the building. Renderings reveal an amenity deck designed at the roof level.

The project team secured approvals with a 50 percent density bonus to permit a larger structure than otherwise allowed by zoning rules. In exchange, five of the apartments are to be set aside for rent by low- and very low-income households.

The project site is located at the intersection of Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevards in West Hollywood.
