A new large-scale residential project has been give the green light for development at 16911 South Normandie Avenue in Garden City. The project proposal includes the construction of a new residential complex offering 333 residences.

Saiko Investment Corporation and NextGen Apartments are the project developers. Urban Architecture Lab is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the development of a new housing complex offering 333 homes. Named The Normandie Crossing, the residences will be designed as a mix of apartments and townhomes.

At the northern side of the property, plans call for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 258 apartments designed as a mix of  studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans. The five-story will also include seven moderate-income units and offer parking for 416 vehicles.

To the south, plans call for 75 three-story townhomes in three- and four-bedroom floor plans, each with a two-car garage at street level.

Onsite amenities include courtyards, swimming pools, clubhouses, and fitness centers.

The project site previously housed a warehouse. The site is located north of Artesia Boulevard. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
