Exterior development can be seen hatching at 1421-1439 West Adams Boulevard in Santa Monica. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use building with residences and retail space.
Orion Capital is the project developer. Next Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction.
The project consists of a five-story building featuring 46 apartments offered as a mix of two and three-bedroom units. A retail space of 3,600 square feet is proposed on the ground floor. A subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 70 cars is planned on the site. Five apartments will be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing in exchange for development incentives obtained using the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines.
Renderings reveal a contemporary structure made in wood and concrete frame. Setbacks at the upper levels will create amenity decks for residents. The facade is designed in plaster, cement, and brick veneer.
The property site is located in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, near other retail and mixed-use projects.
