846 South Mariposa Avenue is finishing up, in Koreatown. The project is a collaboration between FEI Enterprises and Fedida Properties. It will bring denser housing, as well as a few low-income housing units to the rapidly growing area.
The building will be seven stories tall, with 29,000 square feet of floor. Dimensions will be 78 feet tall, 107 feet long, and 51 feet wide. There will be 38 apartments inside. A variety of low-income housing will be available. 4 units will fall under the 4 extremely low-income tier, one under the very low income, and one under the low income.
Below grade, there will be one level of basement. Parking will be in the basement, as well as the lower floors. There will be 17 compact, 1 disabled, and 18 standard parking spaces. 38 long-term and 4 short-term bicycle parking spaces will be on site. Bus stops at both ends of the block provide access to public transportation.
The facade shows eastern influences, typical of Koreatown, particularly in the design of the balconies. A standout feature will be the rooftop deck. The permit valuation for the site was $4.5 million, at the time of filing. Fedida’s website states that the property is, “Coming Soon.”
