Construction has begun for a mixed-use residential-retail development proposed at 16411 Bellflower Boulevard. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use property offering residential and retail spaces along with onsite amenities.
Serrano Development Group is the project developer. William Hezmalhalch Architects (WHA) is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
Named Edgeway Downtown Bellflower, the project will bring a five-story building, replacing a parking lot and a vacant retail building. Plans call for the construction of a five-story edifice featuring 91 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. An enclosed parking garage will be developed at the ground level. Onsite amenities include a swimming pool and spa, a fitness center, a business center, and a club room. Renderings showcase a contemporary low-rise structure clad in a mix of brick and stucco.
A new 14,000-square-foot commercial building fronting Bellflower Boulevard is also a part of the project. The commercial building will be subdivided for retail and restaurant tenants.
The project is financed by Carthay Bank and is scheduled to open in late 2024. The building will be located south of a future stop on Metro’s West Santa Ana Branch.
