A new affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 144 South Cataline Street in Koreatown, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new four-story building, replacing a two-story duplex and a single-family home on the site.
Golshan Properties is the project developer.
Plans call for the construction of a four-story building offering 46 apartments, designed as a mix of 32 low-income units, 13 very low-income units, and one market-rate manager’s unit. The four-story building will yield a total built-up area spanning 18,000 square feet. The affordable housing project will not include any on-site vehicle parking. Parking for 74 bicycles is proposed at the ground-floor. The project will use Mayor’s Executive Direct 1 (ED1) to continue construction.
The project site is situated south of 1st Street. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
