A new affordable housing project has been proposed for construction at 12750 West Moorpark Street in Studio City. The project proposal includes the development of a new five-story building offering 51 units at affordable rates. If approved, the project will call for the demolition of a 1940s single-family home on the site.
The project applicant is Olympic-Barrington Partnership. JZA Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The single-family home on the project site could be demolished to make way for new affordable housing through the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1. The proposed project calls for the construction of a new five-story building featuring 51 affordable units, designed as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. The building will not offer any on-site parking.
The developer is seeking approvals using density bonus incentives to permit a larger building than normally allowed by zoning rules.
Renderings reveal a contemporary low-rise structure capped by a rooftop deck. The project site sits three blocks north of the Los Angeles River channel, as well as the Sportsmen’s Lodge, which is primed for redevelopment with a mixed-use complex featuring 520 apartments and retail under a plan from property owner Midwood Investment & Development. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
