A long underused corner of Victory Boulevard is set for a significant change, as plans move ahead for a mixed-use affordable housing project that would reintroduce consistent street facing retail to this stretch of North Hollywood. The site sits east of Laurel Canyon Boulevard along a corridor where commercial buildings are spread out and sidewalks often pull away from active storefronts.
A new mixed-use affordable housing project has been proposed for development at 12001 West Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new eight-story mixed-use building offering spaces for affordable housing and commercial uses. The project requires the demolition of an existing bakery and cafe on the site. Sam Aslanian is designing the project.
4707 North Fulton Avenue has opened, in Sherman Oaks. The project will bring denser housing to the area. The site previously housed a two story apartment complex with six units, that was built in the 50’s.
“Juliette” recently opened at 11246 West Otsego Street, in North Hollywood. Los Angeles-based LJ Properties is the developer. The residential building will add low-income housing to the central location that has a WalkScore of 94.
