Construction activity is nearing completion at 707–721 North Alvarado Street in Echo Park, where a new permanent supportive housing development from SRO Housing Corporation is rising along a prominent neighborhood corridor. The project, known as Alvarado Kent, replaces a formerly underutilized site with purpose-built affordable housing designed to serve residents with the greatest housing needs.
A new permanent supportive housing project has started to take shape and form at 707 North Alvarado Street in Echo Park, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story building featuring housing units available for rent at affordable rates, along with onsite community services. SRO Housing Corp is the project developer. Egan Simon Architecture is responsible for the designs. Westport Construction is serving as the project’s general contractor.
A new supportive housing complex has been inaugurated at its site at 1230 West Ingraham Street in Westlake, Los Angeles. The project proposal includes the construction of a new seven-story residential building offering spaces for residential units and onsite supportive services. The project replaced a surface parking lot on the site. SRO Housing Corp is the project developer. KFA Architecture is responsible for the designs.
